Led by the World Coalition Against the Death Penalty and funded by the European Union, this initiative aims to amplify the voice and influence of the abolitionist movement worldwide with two main objectives:
- To increase the influence of the abolitionist movement in relevant decision-making processes and arenas.
- To develop and create a more diverse abolitionist ecosystem at global, regional and national levels.
By coordinating efforts, strengthening collaboration, providing financial support and sharing best practice, the Consortium aims to empower civil society organisations to advocate more effectively for abolition and to support stakeholder action at national, regional and international levels. The Consortium will operate in 40 target countries.
